School shooting in Colorado

Sadly...people are getting 'ho hum' about these tragedies. I've seen it with the Baltimore City murder rate and other places too.

If they wanted to stop school shootings they wouldn't talk about the shooters and would never mention their name. Or picture.

But they want more school shootings. .gov gets more power and media gets more ratings.

If you notice things like attacks on .gov officials/judges/etc get very little coverage. They don't want copycats of stuff like that.

I think the major mental mind feed for these murderous rampagers, is them watching violence against humans in these video computer games --- Has to be a mental trigger somewhere for them to perform murderous acts against humans.
I may disagree with you over all kinds of other shit, but totally agree with your point here.

That and the advent of social media causing a lack of actual human interaction.

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Dave Grossman has written books exactly about what you're referring to.

In some cases it wouldn't matter if they have a death wish but the other cases were the shooter doesn't want to kill himself, they don't leave the school alive.Officers engage the subject and neutralize them, they leave the site in a body bag which is broadcast on TV prime time with crime scene photos of their bullet ridden body.

20 years after Columbine. Unfortunately the left uses these atrocities to further their own agenda's. Governor Polis is anti-second amendment and will use this to push through more anti-gun legislation. Praying for the kids and everyone involved. Hopefully Douglas County Sheriff's and Deputy's have been able to capture whoever the perpetrator(s) are for this and quickly.

Saw on FaceFuck today a site called guns and America . They claimed that the States with the most lax gun laws have the most mass shootings . Gues they left out California and Illinois .

Ignorance. The states with the tightest gun laws have the highest gun violence. California, Illinois, New York, Maryland, etc.

Keep pushing the anti-depressants and the emasculation of young men. When the only outlet that exists for these young men to be young men are violence laden video games...surprise.

The issue isn't the video games, it is the change to societal norms to favor the weak. I went to a hockey meeting last week for my son's league and someone was speaking to solicit support for the elimination of checking....are you fucking kidding me?! The reasons given is that it teaches kids the wrong lessons and it prevents the smaller, weaker players from playing.

Maybe we should change football to touch only.

Needless to say it failed amidst some laughing. Some of the best players in history were small but had the aggressiveness of a wolverine. What is lacking is that.

This is what the left is "normalizing"......

Some kids have no bearing......no sense of right/wrong, good/bad, truth/lies in this messed up society.

Agreed...however, not everyone falls into that. There are families that eat together every day and talk at dinner. No phones...no TV...just conversation. What were the high and low points of the day. When my kids have friends over, there is no exception to the rule. If the kid stays for dinner, they participate.

You can tell it isn't like that at their home judging by some of the reactions. But you know what, they come back time and time again.

they suffer through your inane BS to get to the classic pinball machine in the game room.

It's gotta be video games. Because violent movies/cartoons don't trigger anyone. Certainly not shitty parents. Can't be the Left mentally fuckin' with weak POS heads. Nope... world would whip right around if we just got rid of them pesky video games. Shit! I played video games growing up, guess I'm due to shoot up a school here pretty soon. Oh wait, my Mom and Grandparents made sure I knew right from wrong and didn't baby me or give me everything I ever wanted.

With all the books ever written, it's amazing we have any problems today. All this time, it's been video games! Who knew?

All across the country and especially in large urban areas, felony assaults have been skyrocketing. I have seen the most trivial of parking space arguments leading to someone being bashed in the head with a tool or right-hooked into the pavement.

There has been a steady buildup of suppressed tension in a lot of people over the recent years and the facade of everyday politeness and civility is starting to have trouble masking it.

And this can very well be attributed to the increasingly forced politically correct atmosphere that people are living under. When normal vices and traditional outlets of excess energy are being closed off, tension can easily manifest as outright anger and violence.

The aftermath of these are all the same. The same scapegoats! The idiots on the Left blame guns and want to ban them. The idiots on the Right want to blame violent video games and ban them. Both sides seem to want a quick fix for a problem that doesn't have one. My solution is simple, but will require more than one generation to fix. The start is to quit over medicated these kids at such a young age with drugs that have been proven to have side effects of psychotic and suicidal thoughts.

Statistically, school shootings are an anomaly. If the MSM wasn't agenda driven, school shootings would be put into perspective. But, if it bleeds, it leads...

Medical error is also grossly inflated—the estimate of 200,000 was extrapolated from about 20 patients and they made some absurd assumptions to get there. But there are ulterior motives in that as well.

Yeah, don't hold me to the accuracy of that graph. ;)

It does put things into perspective though.

Yes, I totally agree with the overall point. This is a super rare thing that is blown out of proportion by the media and the public, because the media wants page views and clicks, and the public wants to wring their hands about how terrible things are. Even in this thread others were talking about violent crime rising, which isn't the case. I'm sure this is driven by disproportionate media coverage as well.

I think we need to bring back public shaming and ridicule—-

Forget not mentioning their names let’s cover them with shame and let them be known for the gutter dwellers and sick basters they are, cut off their genitalia and leave them pants less in medieval restraints until they bleed out- on public display.
