I see him him as a Red Blooded American of Hispanic Descent , a Hero in the true sense of the word. I regret he had to die due to the scum that coexist in our society, these liberal ideologies always leads to despair in a normal society. I guess I could never work in law enforcement for I lack the restrain not to neutralize the shooters even after they gave up. Kendrick deserves full honors funeral ,he earned with his selfless heroic actions, anything less would be an insult.
It's either that or the opposite, social outcasts who have never had to deal with a bully but they know they are too weak to intimidate anyone with their words or fists while the media keeps telling them they are a protected class and "it gets better".

The New York Post and Heavy provide the details that reveal that the shooters have disappointed the media as they fail to conform to their template of being Testosterone charged, right-wing Trumpster who ideally is also a card-carrying NRA member. At least in this case their template couldn’t be more off base !
Initial police reports indicated that one suspect was a woman and the second a “juvenile female” – the original confusion was resolved as police revealed that the adult shooter, Devon Erickson is a radical left wing anti-Trump male who is transitioning to a female while the juvenile is, Maya Elizabeth McKinney a female who “identifies” as a male and uses the name “Alec” was a social media maven who daily posted vile screeds against fellow schoolmates, conservatives including the president and society in general. Both expressed the opinion that the LGBT community had failed them.
Students at the Highlands Ranch STEM School expressed the opinion that they believed the shooters, both students at the school, acted out of hate for themselves as much as for others.

My father remarried a woman with young twins. They both went to this school interestingly enough. The original Dad was extremely involved as was she and my dad as well. Biological Dad was a career Marine. All three a devout Christians. The kids were raised right. I dont question that for a second. The boy was always slightly socially awkward but he was quite smart and basically a science geek. Never anything odd about him. The sister was the polar opposite- athletic, outgoing, popular and also smart. She will be incredibly successful in life. Always seemed like a very normal and well put together family.
One day my Dad sends me a picture of him and teenage girl who looks familiar but I cant place it. It comes out that Travis is now Tara. Yup. Now a transgender girl (who is a lesbian as he/she still likes girls not boys). Man- there must be something in the water there. Im not joking about that. Like amphibians who are now all hermaphrodites from all the pollutants in the water. Maybe something that in the past was suppressed because society didnt accept it and they hid it like J Edgar Hoover. But now they are encouraged to come out about it and then cant handle the ridicule that comes with being such a social misfit. One one hand society now tell them its OK- then most of society shuns them once they embrace it. Of course they will end up suicidal (which these school shooters are to some degree).
Its sad all around. We all have plenty of thoughts which should never be acted upon that span the gambit from sexual, vilolence to anything else- gambling, self destruction- you name it. Thats part of the human condition. We now live in a society that encourages a lot of the bad ones that should ever be more than a fleeting thought to a healthy well adjusted person. Honestly, I just dont know what to think anymore. Though I agree, its a aberration of some sort, emotional, psychological, or genetic, its not my place to 'condemn' anyone. Judge whats right (or wrong) for myself, yes, but condemn, no, thats the Almighty's job. Ive decided to just pay attention to myself, quietly and as peacefully as possible stand for what I see as righteous, and keep my feet on the straight and narrow. In the end that is all you can really do, live clean.
I don't believe you can stop bulling in schools its a genetic part of our make up. Mother nature in the jungle stronger animals feed off the weaker animals. It always puzzled me why the biggest kid would pick on the weakest kid which made him feel tough. They never seek out a equal or larger kid then themselves to fight. Schools are changing away their new policies are you can do anything to a disruptive student, if they act out anything they will just ignore it. Liberal policies aren't good for anyone and always leads to someone else getting killed not the policy maker. The female student who identifies as a male, that's a progressive liberal policy which lead to students being shot. In the real world which doesn't exist anymore, she is a lesbian who wants to be male then she is a bull dyke.
Bullying has been around for generations...the difference is how we dealt with it. When young men could "meet after school" to work out their problems, it was cathartic. Even if you lost a fight, it was rare for the winner not to get hurt as well. This taught both parties important lessons. This assumes that the bully and victim actually turned out that way.

- The loser may have been bloodied but he survived and made his point that he stood up to his problem. Standing up to your problems is critically important for young men. Otherwise, you adopt a coward approach which will haunt you for the rest of your life.
- The winner learns that despite his advantage, there is no free lunch. You may have counted on intimidation to get you somewhere but it didn't. That will provide food for thought in the future.
- The weaker guy really feels vindicated and fully understands that FEAR is nothing but False Energy Appearing Real. Running away never is the cause

I remember in 6th grade, one of the bullies, well call him Willie, a city boy, fucked with the wrong kid, we'll call him Joe, who grew up on a farm with lots of brothers to fight with. All of a sudden Joe, was sitting on Wilie's chest with his arms pinned under his legs, slapping his face. Joe ended up as a Green Beret in Viet Nam.

He was on the local News last night for a brief blip praising the Students that shut this thing down. I am sure he helped out too but gave all of the credit to the students.

You beat me, I was just thinking after watching the Politicians at the vigil jump to gun control, what we had was a terrorist attack at one of our schools by the LGBT. This is a group and should be put on the terrorist watch list, this attack was based on their sexual desires and deviant ways. This wasn't a lone wolf attack it was coordinated by LGBT and their ideology.
My point was you can't pin this shit on one certain thing. It's a mixture of things just like with everything else. Saying it's video games is like anti-gunners saying we don't need guns cuz .gov will protect us.

Sometimes models of human excellence, examples of what is humanly possible for the rest of us to see and for which we can strive, come from unlikely places. One such place, right now, is the STEM School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
STEM students are demonstrating the virtues necessary for being good human beings and free citizens. And there is much to be learned by their choices, their actions, and their demeanor.
When confronted by armed fellow students with murderous intentions, Kendrick Castillo, Brendan Bialy, Joshua Jones, and a fourth unidentified student, did not wait for any “authorities” or “experts” or law enforcements officers or licensed security professionals to tell them what to do.
They took their own security and the security of their friends into their own hands. Kendrick Castillo charged one of the shooters, without hesitation, smashing him against the wall, while Bialy and Jones quickly took the gun out of the assailant’s hands.
Young Mr. Castillo, only days from his high school senior graduation, died from a fatal shot he received during the rush. No amount of praise or prayer can beguile the parents, family, and friends of Kenrick Castillo from the pain of their loss. Let them cherish with pride and tender love the memory of this brave, brave young man.
And, still, this sad, true, real story might be precisely the kind of thing Americans today need to hear. No one can ever know how much more death and devastation was prevented by the feisty, rebellious, decisive actions of Castillo, Bialy, Jones, and the fourth unidentified student.
This much is clear: They refused to obey the commands and comply with the threats of tyrannical souls. And they refused to sit idly, defenselessly, and wait for someone else to protect them without trying first to protect themselves.
The next night, STEM School students gathered for a vigil to mourn the loss of their friend, Kendrick Castillo, and to honor the courage shown by Bialy, Jones, and others who acted swiftly the fateful day before. Then something happened. Politicians swept in and used the event as a stage to promote yet more government control over the private property of citizens.
Those students, in the midst of mourning, pushed back. They walked out. They refused to be used as pawns by political powermongers who look for any opportunity to expand the reach of government control over our lives.
My, my, my. How wonderfully spirited those STEM Students are! THAT is the kind of soul from which freedom flows.

I have a theory, the media and the left don't want to admit this is a viable solution, their only narrative is gun control, get rid of second amendment rights and disarm the people - but there are alternatives that protect our kids and second amendment rights. Instead of knee jerk reactions by politicians and others to immediately point blame at certain constitutional rights, we should be looking at viable alternatives.

And that guard was among the first to confront one of the suspects, said Grant Whitus, chief operating officer of BOSS High Level Protection.
Whitus -- the first SWAT officer to enter Columbine 20 years ago -- declined to identify the guard but said he was "instrumental" in stopping the attack.
He said the guard drew his gun, took the suspect into custody and turned the suspect over to sheriff's deputies.
Had the guard not been on site, "countless lives would have been lost," Whitus said.
But the guard still feels bad that he couldn't stop the entire attack.

Why is the media not promoting this armed security officer and his actions more? I have a theory, the media and the left don't want to admit this is a viable solution, their only narrative is gun control, get rid of second amendment rights and disarm the people - but there are alternatives that protect our kids and second amendment rights. Instead of knee jerk reactions by politicians and others to immediately point blame at certain constitutional rights, we should be looking at viable alternatives.

So a little more info I have here.
Kendrick Castillo was the only child parents who are blue collar folks. He attended Notre Dame Catholic school until 8th grade.
He was a scholarship recipient for at least one year he attended Notre Dame, common in private schools.
This scholarship was in the name of Aunt Susie who taught there as a nun for many many years. That was what she requested as a retirement gift was to give a student who might not be able to usually, the ability to attend school. She remembers the call that young Kendrick (she thinks 7th grade) made to her, thanking her for her years there teaching and her selfless gift and how much it meant to him and his parents.
We are less without a young man such as this. We need 10 million just like him, with his maturity, strength, and heart.
He was headed to school to study electrical engineering, starting at a local school for pre-reqs to be smart with tuition funds.
His parents are struggling a lot as we can all imagine.

To add, the Knights of Columbus are paying his funeral expenses.
He and his father volunteered with them. Something like 20,000 hours of volunteer service between the two of them.
This young man really was a hero in every sense.
Being in CO and all the BS news loops you never really know what is happening. I must say that he media has done a hell of a lot better publicizing the true “HEROS” of this deal. The 3 boys that took on the shooters are getting their name and picture everywhere. Talking a lot about the 1 boy that did die.
Personally I feel that is because none of this one fits their narrative. The 2 suspects broke into the one kids dads safe then tried to torch the house to cover their tracks. Media can’t say anything about the female suspect because she doesn’t “identify “ as a female. Thought I heard the male was gay. They used pistols to do the shooting, not a scary “black assault rifle”.
Then the media tries to push in on the candlelight vigil with the BS gun control push and the students walked out and called bullshit.

Bennet and Rep Jason Crow{both Dem.} and I would also send one to that woman, if she would accept it, that set this thing up to where the Vigil was turned to gun control and the Kids walked out yelling "Mental Health" over and over, I know a few even spoke out that it was not guns but Mental Health

He made May 15 Kendrick Castillo Day in Colorado. So we can remember and celebrate his heroic actions every year.
I will hope he did it from a small sliver of kindness he may have in his blackened and demon possessed heart (how I figure all commie hearts are). Probably for publicity and to ride the wave of someone else's heroism and I can hope
Today in church the preacher was talking about what people do for others no matter what and how thats important. All I could think about was Kendrick and see his big smile.
Then I thought about his folks.
