Looking for a scope around $400 for new 22lr. I want 1/4 or 1/2 moa external knobs, TMR/MLR style recticle. Would perfer higher than 14x. Building a suppressed 22lr bolt gun for varmint/plinking around the house.

Look at the Millet.
If you didnt have to have more than 14x I would suggest the Nikon buckmaster. You can get the turrets and a mil scope for that price range. Probably a little better scope than Millet.

You won't go wrong with a Vortex Viper. I set a $1500 budget for my complete 22lr trainer setup. The rifle is a Cooper 57M, Viper 6,5-20x44 mildot, Farrell 20 moa scope base, and Seekins rings. Busted the budget by $200 but it is a nice setup.
