Hey guys,
I'm still waiting on my scope from SWFA(not their fault-backordered), but I went ahead and got my scope base and rings. I went with Weaver 20moa base and medium height rings. Anyway I mounted the base to my Remington 700 action. When I snugged down the front, I was able to get a feeler gauge of .005" underneath the rear of the base. Should I bother to bed it or just tighten it down since it's such a small measurement?

Thanks in advance for your time.

I was thinking along those same lines but just wanted to see if maybe I was being too anal on my quest for perfection.

With firearms enthusiasts, there is rarely any such thing
