So I need to find the right scope for this rifle. I don't want to go large, as I would for a rimx, because it is a smaller stature rifle, not for 22 elr, and I want it to be handy, but the thing shoots lights out, so I am looking for a scope with some magnification while keeping relatively compact and light. I'd prefer something that lets in a good bit of light, as I use it a good deal near dusk to rid the horse pasture of critters. Thanks in advance.

Personally I have an Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56 on my tikka 22lr that I cover the horse pasture with. 22lr drops a lot by the time you get to the other side of the pasture.
On the other end of the budget spectrum I have a Remington 597 with a Nikon prostaff rimfire bdc that does great, I could probably be talked out of that nikon as I have more scopes than hosts at the moment.
