I still have a long wait but I am looking for opinions for a scope for this rifle. I want something in the 1-6 range. I will use this rifle for hog hunting and possible Heavy Metal. I also want something relatively light weight.
I would like something with hold overs set for the .308 cartridge but I don't know if this is available. I like target turrets but not sure how practicable this is in a Heavy Metal rifle. Most say you won't have time to dial in a competition.
I was looking at the Vortex HD 1-6, but I am not sure how this will work for a .308. I know this scope does not have exposed target turrets.
I have a good size budget, but I am not willing to spend Schmidt & Bender money!
