I just finished building a LR308 style AR. I built it with an 18" barrel with the thought of using it out to 800 yards.
For the scope I pre-ordered a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x44 in mil/mil. According to their web site this scope has a total of 29 mrads of elevation adjustment.
If I understand this right one click (.1 mrad??) will move the impact of the round .36" @ 100 yards and 10 clicks (1 mill??) will move the impact 3.6" @ 100 yards??
If I am correct with the above statement would it also be correct that at 800 yard 1 click will move the impact of the round 2.88"?? If so than this scope should have enough adjustment to get me out to 800 yards with out any type of scope base if I don't eat up a lot of adjustment sighting it in. Would that be correct?
Still trying to rap my head around this mil thing, so thank for any help guys!
