I have an old Springfield Armory scope that is near and dear to me. It functions just fine (less the lighted reticle which is inoperative). But it needs a cosmetic makeover. Made in Japan and I really don’t want to send it overseas and there is no stateside service facility that I can find. Any recommendations of someone who can help me? I’d prefer someone known to you as reputable. TIA.

I think some of those Springfield scopes were just rebranded Weaver scopes.
LOW made.

Darn Good scopes, even if they arent as feature rich as newer models.

I have a 3-15 I really like.

I have an old one. Green illumination? I think 3-15. How good are these? I bought it when I was a teenager. I now use nightforce, kahles, etc but am curious if these were just good for their era, or good in the secret way of the Tasco Super Sniper 10x.

I seem to remember these being hit or miss with many being a miss. I think that’s why SA stopped selling them. When I was a young man I looked through one of them and I thought ingenious the range finding reticle was. About 5 years later when I got training I realized how limiting the reticle was. If you have one that works I’d hang on to it for nostalgia.
