Rifle Scopes Scope rings

Hi, everyone. I am new to long range shooting and currently considering a Vortex PST 4-16x50 scope and Nightforce base and Nightforce rings. What would be better for a 50 mm objective scope, low (0.885 in) or medium (1 in) height rings?

I have Remington 700 SA in .308 mounted on a McRees Precision stock.
