I know Mr. Charley Roberts has a great reputation and was plesant to speak with. I anticipate sending my rem 700 AAC-SD down to him in a week or two. I'm interested if anyone has sent their Remington off for one of Charley's accurizing packages, and what types of results were achieved.

JCONE,

I know not exactly the response for which you were looking here, but hopefully make you feel assured you'll be doing well.

I had purchased a Rem 700 in 300WM, and was going to Have Charley make it to my specs. In the end, I sold the rifle, and bought a complete package from him. I wasn't in a hurry, and I just figured he could do it with his suppliers, his parts, his knowledge, etc. ten months, and I had my "Paladin" model in 300WM. This is my first custom firearm, and it has spoiled me. . . . A LOT!!!

As you stated, he is a complete pleasure to deal with and I'd gladly give him my hard earned money for another rifle build when the time comes.

His work, attention to detail, desire to make the rifle tailored to your needs is 2nd to no one I've dealt with in the firearms industry!!!

Send it to him without worry!

Post pics when you get it back!!

I won a Brux barrel install in a match provided by Charley last year. I had the 700 action trued, re-chambered from 308 to 260 and some other work done. The head spacing was very good and the gun shoots great. The gun was completed when they said it would be and in general there was no drama. I would use Charely again.
