SCOTUS -2A decision in the works....

There are two groups on SCOTUS- Americans and democrats. The democrat justices decide what result they want, then they find a way to use smoke and mirrors to justify it in their arguments. Activism is their bread and butter.

The patriotic American justices, unfortunately, are often unwilling to use the spirit of the law and Constitution in a ruling (even if it would result in affirming freedom for Citizens) and instead want Congress to not only address every single issue but be perfect in the text of it. American justices are way too OCD and anal, and need to be more practical in their rulings. The single biggest problem with American justices is their lack of activism to uphold Americanism and discourage leftism.

Am I wrong here, even if they hear this case, and rule in it's favor, it only solves a miniscule point? What about all the other states BS, it does nothing.
If the SCOTUS is ripe for making favorable 2nd A judgements, people in VA need to be acting.
Potentially they decide that strict scrutiny applies to all aspects, which would be significant.

It’s significant because it would set precedent so any future states wanting to enact similar legislation would likely be able to do so without challenge because lower courts will point the SCOTUS decision and say it is already settled and SCOTUS won’t hear anymore arguments on it. So if they came down in favor of New York’s Laws, it wouldn’t be long before the Anti-2A people began trying to get similar laws passed in every other state. We need to realize that the Anti-2A people aren’t waiting for the courts to hopefully rule in their favor, they are attacking at every level and every aspect they can until they chisel away our right to bear arms to where it is only a right to bear a single muzzle loader within the walls of your house. We need to be as creative and aggressive with our defense and offense to keep it from happening and returning the liberty to where it has already been taken.

^ lol. No. Not locked up in your house. Locked up at a state run “gun club” that someone else has the keys to.

Well, wishful thinking I guess. I figure they may have a little pity if they are successful in castrating us to that level, but you are probably right. That is already the direction they are taking right now so why would they change it for the better?

This could be a step in the right direction.
BTW, Where is the challange on the red flag bullshit that blatantly side steps due process...

R

Good point. I admit, I have not kept up on the Red Flag discussion as much as I should since my state is pretty 2A friendly, but where have the red flag Laws been passed and enacted? I don’t know exactly how it all works, but I would expect someone to challenge as soon as they could when a state passes/enacts these laws.

Then again, since Trump said he would be in favor the NRA and others may not have challenged in order to keep from putting Trump in a hard place or to keep from going “against” Trump.

On a clear day the sky is blue, I don't need an expert to tell me what my eyes can readily see. And if someone in a position of authority tells me the sky is actually green, I still know it's blue to any human being with proper functioning eyes. In the same vein we all know what is meant by the 2nd amendment and the rest of the Bill of Rights, it doesn't take a great legal scholar to interpret them for us. Nor for us to know those rights have been grossly violated already and the courts have done little to nothing to rectify those transgressions. Sure we may get some little victories with Trump's new appointees to the SCOTUS, but the court is still part of a web of fraud and treachery like the rest of Mordor (Washington DC). They deserve no reverence nor respect so long as they not only stand idle, but participate in stomping on our God given natural rights, written for them in plain english by our Founders.

Agreed! And when we have people in said court who openly say we should look at other countries laws and precedence for their rulings, it really shows how in-qualified they are and how Unnecessary they have become if they want to bring in other countries laws/rulings to try to complicate their decision.

Didn't we all just get an earful of how SCOTUS judges should not be political in their motives during the Kavanaugh confirmation fiasco?

Why are the dems not posturing similarly over the performance of the clearly political liberal justices?

Kangaroo court - The term may also apply to a court held by a legitimate judicial authority which intentionally disregards the court's legal or ethical obligations.

SCOTUS is still one originalist justice away from a "conservative" majority court. Robert's is a rat who took upon him self the mantle of another rat, Kennedy.

Having said that if/until such a justice is confirmed, (something that I believe will result in spilled blood), any significant 2A case runs a huge risk of going further against the plain and clear meaning of "shall not be infringed".

Perhaps the better outcome here just might be getting a moot ruling and pick one of the following 2A cases to pursue when there is a better chance of the right and correct outcome with one more originalist judge.

Of course the future is uncertain. In the mean time we all will be waiting while SCOTUS shakes the dice before spilling them for all to see at the end of the term next year.
