How can you set bullets close to the lands with detachable box's? {box only so big}. Its just a hunting rig, but using an H&S keeps me .180 off the lands. Have not been to range yet to test my loads,but curious if it's that important?

If the throat is longer than mag length, all you can do is have the chamber cut back and throated shorter.

Many factory rifles and factory ammo must be .200 or more off the lands and still shoot 1/2 " groups? Are you saying "In General" setting bullet to lands adds accuracy more often than not?

No one is saying that. Certain bullets like to be in the lands to shoot more accurately. Many Berger VLD's like to be in the lands a bit for best accuracy. May others shoot very well with a jump.
One key thing to remember is that you have to be careful and work up from a lower charge of powder. Seating into or jamming the bullet into the lands will raise chamber pressures.
