Seekins SP10 6.5CM cut down to 18”

Has anyone cut a Seekins SP10 barrel down to 18” and it still cycle? The 6.5cm barrels use a plus 1.5” or so gas system. I haven’t measured the gas port size. I may give it a try.

Unless you are planning on running 100% suppressed, I think it is risky.

Thats .5" more dwell time than I have in a very reliable 5.56 gun, I'd try it.

I'd be pretty comfortable with that length but the port may need enlarged.

I’ll most likely leave these one alone and just cut my Seekins 6arc down fron 22” to 18”. I know this one will work for sure as Seekins made a run with 18” barrels using the same gas length and port size.

I did a quick search for the gas system length, but seemed to have come up short.

If it has a rifle length gas system, that would be fine. If it's longer than that, you're not going to have much room in between the gas block and thread shoulder.

Rifle = Yes
Longer = Meh
