Seekins SP10 barrel swap

So if i get a SP10 in say 308, how may i go about swapping the barrel out for a 6.5 creed? Im thinking throwing a long proof in there but ive never done it nor i know if its possible on the platform without having to send it in.

I know they sell a 6.5 but thats not the kind of deal i have available to me right now.

Any help is appreciated.

You can do it yourself. I’ve done it.

If you buy a barrel from Seekins it’s a pretty easy swap. Still use a no go gauge to check headspace.

You can get a barrel from proof or Krieger and get a JP carrier and bolt.

Proof will sell you a JP bolt too.

You can also get a barrel from JP along with the other parts.

Seekins has the torque specs on their website.

I’ve thought about an SP10 or an SP10 Builder’s Set, maybe with a Proof barrel. Keep us updated on how it goes.
