setting headspace on straight walled prefit?

Anyone here ever install a straight walled cartridge barrel nut? Are you setting headspace on a piece of sized brass?

Looking into a 45 raptor for a hunting barrel

Normally for a straight wall cartridge I would say it headspaces off of the rim but this is a rimless case so I really don’t know. I’m curious too.

That’s the only thing I can see thats possible to go off of.
I see ptg offers gauges but they don’t have pics of them.

Yes, that’s why roll crimps are a no go. Taper crimp on the case mount so it still will headspace correctly.
