Looking for a hunting scope maybe someone can recommend. Sfp, moa reticle, sub 22oz ish, 3-4x on low end 14-18x on high end. For less than a $1000. $500-$750 preferably. The 3-15 pst2 is 28oz anything lighter for the price

Sounds like the Zeiss Conquest V4 is what you want. Over at Red Hawk Rifles they have some demos on sale (still carry full warranty) that can be had for comfortably under a grand and would be well under your weight target. Zeiss now offers a few modern MOA-hash based reticles that may work for you

How about the Steiner GS3 3-15x50 - 4A? On sale at the moment for $649.99, reduced from $989.99
Also, at the moment:
Purchase any GS3 riflescope, and get a set of Steiner H-series rings.

The Steiner GS3 “game sensing” scope utilizes exclusive CAT (color adjusted transmission) lens coatings to amplify contrast in the peak human vision sensitivity range. The optimized contrast effectively separates game from leafy or shadow-dappled backgrounds, exposing your target to a clean, accurate shot. And the GS3 5x zoom range lets hunters from eastern whitetail country to western big game ranges pair their new scope with their favorite centerfire, rimfire or muzzleloader rifle. And or course, Steiner’s bedrock reliability will always deliver unfailing performance, whatever firearm or target you prefer.

The Ziess ZMOA is probably your best bet.
The Leupold TMOA is similar but not available in the VX5hd, unless you send it away for retrofit.

If you only need the horizontal holds the the Swarovski 4w or Leupold Windplex are good options.

You don't mention whether or not you are going to range with it or at what ranges you will be hunting at... Depending on your eyes and hunting distance it's amazing what you can actually see out of 9x scope. One of the clearest pieces of glass I have ever looked through is a 3x9 Redfield. All of $150 and probably doesn't weigh 15 oz Crappy reticle, simple plex but is awesome for short range

Too bad no one seems to make a simple clear glass 3x12 with a really nice reticle... Often to get the features we want we have to buy more scope than we need.....

I would go with the pst you are looking at, nothing in it's price range is going to offer the glass and tracking you git for its price.
If you want better glass and still ok tracking go for the leupold vx 5hd.
