Thanks to everyone participating, we'll get this sorted out..

I wish I had two scopes in my hand to give out, but right now I only have one. that doesn't mean I won't have more in the future, just only one to give away this week.

I have a second Bushnell but I haven't even opened the box and need to do a write up on it.

picking will be tough, but we have great people that need it so we'll sort it out.

I am placing a request for myself. The current scope on my rifle, Bushnell 10x tac, is going to be used on a build for my friends "welcome home" rifle. A mil/mil scope is next on my list, and this would be nice since I have become a fan of bushnell products.

It is much more common that you may think! My agency supplied my duty and backup handguns. I supplied my AR-15 and my precision rifle and optics. Not only that but I have supplied the vast majority of the ammo for both rifles! Hopefully the ammo issue is getting ready to be resolved with the new administration coming in.

+1 to Lowlight for doing this!

SWFA, I believe is exclusive on a $99 Vortex offering if anyone wants to add to it.

As well there was an offer for a $100 off a Super Sniper certificate, the 10X is then $600 or so.

there are alot of nice builds out there needing glass also...

BUT ,these guys will be using their sticks to hopefully save others if called upon ...

and not just seeing range time or be a safe queen

My savage wearing a NcStar I got waiting for a good deal on a mil/mil/ffp. My rifle fund is shrinking as fast as the cost of this type of scope is climbing.
I am just a hobby shooter so I think I fall into the bottom half of anyone deserving anything in this thread, but here is my post.

if I somehow end up with a fine scope The NcStar is up for a pay it forward and I will ship it to anyone you pick.

I have been using the ladder like mildots so I do not need to dial it up or down. it does not have knobs, just screws and dust covers, and I do not want to wear it down or find out tracking is not good, it holds the zero it was set to, 300y, and the ladder gets me to 600 so far.

It will definitely go to one of the LEOs at this point unless another steps in with an equally compelling story, I think either one of these two guys is the right pick.

I just have to see what I can do, as I want to help both... as I said I have other scope here, just not finished with it yet.

Just to throw this out there... I don't even have a rifle anymore. I am working on getting another rifle if Uncle Sam will allow me to have my money, instead of using it for buyouts.

The scope that I bought for my boys .22lr Mossberg was a CenterPointe 4-16x40. I ended up putting it on my Stevens build, and it was removed when I sold it. Not a bad scope, and it is now in my boys possession. So for me, no rifle and no scope.

A scope would be greatly appreciated to complete the rifle as the build comes together to say the least. Thanks for your consideration... even though my needs are not of the LEO or Military.

I was going to throw my hat into the ring until I read this post. My entry goes to the LEO who has to purchase his own equipment.

I know a local LEO who is in the same position. He has the best rifle in his post, but it is sidelined because he has no glass for it and can't afford decent glass on his salary.

Let's support our first responders. </div></div>

Same deal, reading this I thought I would throw my story in, but this is a 'want' not a 'need'.

Give it to one of the LEOs!

As much as I need (want) a chance at this scope, since I don't have one, for the rifle that I haven't put together yet, I still have to give my vote for one of the LEO's. I only wish I could help out with the rest of the people on here offering to pitch in money to help make sure both are taken care of. I can't even save enough money for myself to put a rifle together. This site has to have the most generous bunch of people. Helluva thing going on here.

Wow guys, when I posted originally in this thread I was not expecting this at all. To all the individuals that have contacted me, Thank you guys. I have been researching this site for quite a while to try and learn as much as I can. Up until a few days ago I have only seen this web site at face value. Hey Bro, if you can PM with me with your info and what department you work for and what items you still need I may be able to help. I have a dear friend that has probably forgotten more about shooting a precision rifle than many of us will ever know and has done more than his share of it under incoming. He is in the business of helping his "warriors" as he calls them and has done more for me than I ever deserved. He probably can't help out with optics but possibly some ammo or other small items such as a good sling. I'll sure do what I can to help. I know what it is like to have to fund all this stuff out of your own pocket because I had to do the same thing and without him, I wouldn't have been able to do it.

I'm quite new to this forum and I'm really surprised at how generous and genuine people on this forum are. Maybe it's bad that I'm surprised but nevertheless it's nice to know that somebody out there cares. Whenever I see any post that has to do with Military or Law Enforcement there is always guys willing to help out. I know this is the way it should be, but it's still worth mentioning. Cheers to all you stand up guys out there. Lowlight, I think what you are doing is absolutely great. Good luck to both of the LEO officers that are up for consideration. Happy holidays everybody!

It is my opinion that your employer should pay for the tools required to perform the duties that are expected of you. I think I would be looking for a better employer. With that being said I hope you can get a replacement soon.

I'm not nominating me but a close friend of mine. He was into Tacticoool shooting a number of years ago but had to sell all his gear to support his step son when he got married. He's a great stand up guy and is now trying to get a rifle and scope and kit so he can teach his 9 year old stepson how to shoot.

At the moment he's using a Savage MK2 on loan from me. I can't sit by with the perfect rifle while a young mind wonders about shooting. I understand that there are many people that could also use such a great gift but this friend of mine will be pushing it to get a rifle in the next six months. It would really be a great hand UP to such a great guy and father.

Wanting to start out long range and times are pretty hard on my end. Just got married in october and work around here has been really slow just found out the day before christmas eve we are getting layed off. I have been wanting a mil/mil scope to try never have used one. I have a brand new remington 700 5r milspec in the safe that i have had for a year and a half that has never been shot have been trying to save up for a scope but other matters have been more important. I hope everyone had a great christmas and my hat goes off to whoever gets this great deal.

How many firefighters will have an armed subject in the crosshairs of a rifle, and be doing it on the payroll?

I have to agree with Lowlight on this. My request was just a short cut. More LEO agencies offer well used sidearms, some have seen several thousand rounds in training, shotguns are less common. You'd be lucky if they provide a backup, but many angencies reccomend, or even require it. Smaller agnecies arent so bad, but the bigger the dept. the smaller the weapons/training budget. In fact, I dont know one street cop with an issued rifle in their car. My best friend requested a sidearm with a light rail so he can have a light when his K9 is leashed, he was told the SWAT team (the one that is never used) has em all, and there will be no new pistols.

All the more reason I think there should be a national police force..so one cop doesnt make minimum wage busting his ass and has to buy his own stuff while another makes over a quarter million doing nothing but bankrupting a municipality.

Guys,

I am gonna send this scope to Sudnit this week... I will see what I can do about the LEO in Ohio, try to get something his way.

But I appreciate the responses, but there is no longer to keep this going in this direction.

Law Enforcement are our national front lines and this deserves to be on a working rifle.
