Took son to dentist today.
Dentist is woman in her later 50s.
I noted an accent and couldn't make it out.
Joked that I detected a slight accent and wondered if she was from Texas.
She laughed and only said she was from in the Middle East......I could sense her discomfort and guessed she didn't want to say Iran.
We had a great conversation about the present situation and the past. She came here in 78, one year before Mr Peanut blanket banned Iranians and sent recent arrivals back......odd the 9th Circuit said nothing.
I understood her to be a fan of the Shah times and in light of what came after that's understandable.
I told her if Iran changes it will be the women that force it and she appreciated that as well agreed.
Seemed she is a fan of Trump.
She was guarded, politics not being an appropriate thing to speak of at all times, but I get the idea she may be casting a Trump vote in November.

Its a conundrum. Ive traveled a lot in Mexico and Central America and mostly there fine people. But the Cartels, EXPECIALLY in Mexico, can make the Rags look like choir boys.

Haven't seen one of those slow stonings in a long time. She must have done something extra special to get the slow version. Normally the stonings involve the woman put in a hole and buried up to her neck and the immediate people she affected get to throw the first rocks and then everyone else does until she goes unconscious. Then while unconscious, her head is put against the ground sideways and two executioners come over carrying a huge boulder and it's forcefully dropped on the head crushing the skull and breaking the neck at the same time.
