Contemplating my next build. Looking to go short on the barrel length, no more than 20 and more likely 18. Franks Gladius is very similat to what I'm looking toward with the exception of doing it in a 6.5x47L. We already know the concept does very well with a .308. Has anyone tried running this short of a barrel on the 6.5x47? From what I'm finding on QL I should be able to fun a 130 at about 2720, right about the same as I would be able to push a 155 .30 cal.

Get a tight bore to optimize. But other than that, you shouldn't have a problem. I think the new SH build is spec'd at 20" in a .260. 6.5x47 will be nearly identical.

A friend just put an 21.5" 8 twist on his FN "6.5x47".IIRC..He's getting around 2670 fps with 140 grain JLK's.The bolt got sticky at 2750 fps or so.
