Short barrel 300wm?

I am wanting to shorten/thread my 300wm barrel. I only shoot factory ammo 180grn. maximum.( If I were to reload, it be to factory specs. no hot loads). Has anyone gone down this road to give some insight? I am thinking 20"~22", TacOps did one down to 22" with no loss in velocity shooting 190grn FGMM.I am hoping to find some more info on this topic. Thanks

I have NO experience with the 300WM, therefore I have no dog in this race.
