Short base die safe to use with bolt rifle?

Hey guys,
I bought an RCBS short die set for my Stag10 I’m 6.5 CM. I am adding a Tikka T3x CTR 6.5CM to the collection tomorrow and wondered if it’s safe to use the short base die with the bolt gun?
I realize life of the brass might suffer a bit, but would there be an ill effects on accuracy, safety, etc?
I’d rather not have to buy a new full length die if I don’t have to...
