We shot today and one of my SOT's came with three new cans he has gotten in for me so we demoed them. My three new cans are my first Liberty items. The coolest is a runt a tiny micro can that I shot on my Beretta Tomcat a tiny combo. Now this is by far not the most quiet but it fits in the pocket very nicely so a great option. The .22 cans we had out today were YHM mites both SS and aluminum, SWR Spectre, AWC Valkerie Ti, Liberty Runt and Essence, RPG 22 and a Gemtech outback IID. Yes I have been on a year long buying spree and in a few weeks will be able to compare AAC and Griffin Armament Checkmate II. I know people are going to call this bs but I think if one stood out as more quiet to me it was the Gemtech Outback IID and its very small and light too I was very surprised and happy. After that the AWC Valkerie , SWR Spectre and Liberty Essense, were to my ear equals. I guess I need to get a Surefire .22 can to add to the line up who has some for sale? Fun day. I took some videos I will try to get uploaded to youtube soon. PG

I think that when you compare suppressor companies, it's important to compare the actual can you are going to shoot. Don't just buy a .22 can from someone because their .30 cal works great...and vice versa. Gemtech does great with their .22 can, I don't own another one besides their's but have shot many and my friends are all impressed when comparing. The Outback II is light, and very quiet.

I will be doing some different accuracy tests with ammo and my Outback this weekend on a Tac Sol 10/22, just for fun while up camping. The best thing about suppressed .22's is being able to shoot them in places you wouldn't shoot a larger firearm in for fear of noise or unwanted curiosity.

I own and have shot a lot of 22 suppressors. The defining factor between them is First Round Pop in my opinion. The great ones don't have it at all. The good ones have it but it goes away in one shot. The so-so ones take multiple shots to get rid of it. Pay attention to this next time you shoot a suppressed 22 and then report back.

Re: Shot a ton of cans today 8 different .22s

The mites have a very noticeable FRP the outback II, Essence, Valkyrie, and Spectre dont in my opinion. I am not saying my report is the word of god or anything but there were others shooting also and felt the same way. I was just reporting mostly my great surprise on the Outback II small light and quiet. I loved the tiny little Liberty Runt but only because it was so tiny I think its meant to be shot through you jacket pocket to make it more quiet! HA PG

762frmafr what .22 can are you most impressed with?

The 22 blast can I am most impressed with currently is the SWR Spectre. The original one. I have heard from a reliable source though that the TBAC 22L is quieter. So I will be getting one of those to try in the near future. The most impressive suppressed 22 platform hands down though is the AWC Ultra II bolt action. Either on a Ruger 77 action or on a CZ action. No blast can compares. Period.

ETA: I have also heard good things about the new Mack Brothers 22 suppressor. Once they are on the market I will have one of those to report back on.

My Spectre is very good just weights a lot but its versatile. I have a AWC Ultra II and their pistol pending from January should have them any day. I have a Mack .223 and .308 can pending and have shot them at my SOT's I liked them but found nothing special to report about them in limited use so far. Thanks PG
