Trying to find out info on a shotgun my grandad passed down... It's a Charles Daly 20 Gauge over under. Labeled "Skeet" on the barrel... Can't find mutch else about them. I can't find a way to break down serial number (it seems really low though)

Anybody know much about these? I know Miroko made some but I don't know how to tell don't see any makers marks that indicate.

My guess would be Turkish import. Have you looked on the barrels, around the block, and under the forend for import marks?

Lots of of like single marks, no words, the serial number is what makes me think it might be predate the swap to turkey but can't find much on it.

I'll take some pics here in a bit of marks and see what y'all think. Need to finish my coffee first lol

I'm pretty sure the "skeet" stamping refers to the barrel's choke. A skeet choke's constriction is pretty much in between a cylinder (open choke) and improved cylinder choke.

Yes you are right, but the issue is that when you research these you find a lot of CD superior 2s that were "Trap" models...but I've only found one reference to a "Skeet" model with twin skeet chokes, and it was an early Miroko, i'm doubting this is a Miroko cause I see no M's anywhere and the Finito mark...

Which makes this a really odd bird I think. But can't verify. If I could get a solid grip on what it was I would feel better.

The skeet "barrels " may also be on a stock with skeet "dimensions" .
In European countries shorter 2 3/4 recivers and barrels , stocks with
Different dimmentions for skeet were evidently normal practice (expected)
I had 2 European guns and thier stocks fit me like a glove with a spacer for lop.

1976 would be a wag on mfg date.
