I've always carried my 870 with no sling but this Spring I had alot of action walking to different blinds of all sizes and position.

Between the gear (backpack & shotgun... no vest) and decoys I carried alot of stuff and thought a sling would be a big help.

I was thinking a single point may work well because I kept my gun in my lap most of the time whether I was on the ground or on a stool.
Also, most single points have a quick detach buckle for tight spots.

Opinions/ Options?

Re: Shotgun Sling Type/Style?

Single point makes sense to me; it would be worth a try to see if you like it.

GG&G makes a single point adapter for the 870. I've had good luck with their stuff on AR's & such as well.

For a shotgun, I'd get a sling with a bungee on it to give you a little more give.

Re: Shotgun Sling Type/Style?

I run the Spec Ops Lonestar Rig with a GG&G rear sling adapter on my 870. It's single point bungee style with a quick detach buckle. It works well. Midwest Industries also makes a rear end plate sling adapter for the 870.
