Many years ago colfax was certainly interesting
Came up to a car behind argonauts and there was this white kid pumping furiously on the roughest ole black hooker you’ve ever seen.
We might have terrorized them a bit.

Colfax is cleaner but there are still pockets of terror up and down it,

5 points is all cleaned up for the most part. All those run down garages now divided up in to hipster living places.
Just west of that, the industrial area taken over and called RINO (River North).
Colfax is better. West in Lakewood still has a lot of cheap and super ratty motels. Lots of violence and ODs happen in those places and nearby to them.
Im less familiar with East Colfax since I live on the west side of the metro, but see it in the local news often enough.
Went to breakfast one AM a few years back with a gal at a place called the Denver Biscuit Company near the bluebird theater (walking distance from where she lived) and the porn shop 2 doors down had a mannequin display with 2 dudes. Im more used to such places just having blacked out windows so you can't see inside and not a window display.....

Been decades since I was there. Five points was off-limits, so we went there. I remember a porn shop on Colfax.
