I would definitely recommend bedding any stock with an aluminum bedding block. My experience with the bedding blocks, is that while they provide a solid footing to the action similar to pillar bedding, they also tend to create specific pressure points on the action. This can be seen on most actions that have been fired in the stock very much by removing the barreled action and looking for shiny spots on the underneath side of the action itself. By bedding over the top of the aluminum bedding block, you will alleviate any pressure points and will promote complete action to bedding contact. Just make sure that whoever beds the rifle removes some of the surface of the aluminum block in order to keep the proper height of the action in the stock. Also, by roughing up the block, it will help the bedding material get better adhesion.
