Would these work in a tikka with 1-11 twist will be shooting 500 to 800 yards thinking to start with 43 or 44 grains varget. Any thoughts would be great
Thats what I am surrently running but mine is a 1/10 twist. You should be fine. From my experience they like to be pushed to about 2900fps and they are awesome. I have pushed these out to 1123yds with consistent hits. Have fun
I am running a 22" barrel and I am getting about 2925 out of mine. I am using alliant AR-Comp powder though. Dont know if you will get that out of varget and 20". My buddy was pushing these out of his 20" but he was getting about 2825 or so but he wasnt pushing them as hard as I was. I loaded his with ar-comp also. He as well was hitting 1123 very consistant.
I have pushed them as hard as 47.8 gr Varget in WIN cases (47.4-5 gr in Lapua cases). Sierras bullets are just a tad lower on the BC scale as are the Berger FullBore and the 155 Scenars.
Note: I'm getting 30+ reload cycles on Win cases at 47.8 gr in a 1:12 barrel.
I gun the 155 NCCs(no discernible decrease in accuracy as opposed to the SMKs) over 46.5g Varget. No chrony data, but I am assuming they are moving along at a smart clip.
Note that the Nosler CCs are about $100 cheaper per 1k than the SMKs.

I'd be interested to hear what kind of accuracy you're getting with this load? And what brass are you using?
I load 155 vld, 47gr varget in lapua brass. The velocity seems to be right around 2825 to 2850. I tried 47.5 grains but had a primer pocket fail so I backed up.
Im going to be loading them with 43 varget and 44 @ 2.8 to see what they will do out of a 20" 1-12 Remmy SPS. Its a short range load though, only 300 yards. Someone else I know loads them with 46 grains of varget out of a 26" Howa at over 2900 fps and gets good results. Shoots X's all day.
Sierra 155 Palma's recieved good reviews on accurateshooter but not as good as the berger 155.5. They were shooting 3 MOA less at 1000 then the old sierra 155's and the group was 7" smaller. Think the BC is around .509, almost positive.
Hell I'm not sure i can see a 1000 lol kinda limited to where i can shoot 200y is about it for now. but have put a app into a privet club that gos to 1000 hope to hear from them mid month
