Sierra Match King 6mm 110gr G7?????

Was reading a BC discussion on the SMK 110’s and I’m wondering if anyone figured the G7 for them? Sierra’s BC breakdown confuses the hell out of me and I read Brian litz’s breakdown of Sierra but can’t locate the G7?

Litz shows the 6mm 110gr SMK at a .303 G7; I seem to recall other posters here saying .315 worked well for them.

Im the opposite...always amazed how a blunt tangent ogive 115 DTAC hangs with the longer and more slender nose of the 110.

The folks I know using them around here (myself included) are having good results in the .310-.315 range.

I had them out at 1225 yards the other week, G7 of .312 at a muzzle velocity of 2850 fps was spot on.

mine some how trued out to around .320 at 3080 in my 6 creed. that was verified out to 1200. I would start in the 312-315 range and just true up your ballistics apps on the range.

I gave up on them about a year and a half ago, just not consistent enough performance. 105 Hybrids is pretty much it for me right now.

Yeah the 105 hybrid is my go to as well. I am just hopeful to get the 110s to work. I finally have a true 7 twist, coming from 7.3s

I am shooting the 110 SMK in my .243 26 in barrel with a 1-7.5 and they shoot very well. Have shot them out to 1518 yards with good accuracy. For me i have the ten off the lands.

Do you know at what distance off the lands the accuracy degrades. I have heard they won’t last through the erosion from a couple hundred rounds?

I shot them @ .009 off for about 400 rounds out of a 6 creed. They did just fine. 1 in 7.5 tw

I shot them in one barrel where I started out jamming them .010" and ended up jumping like .040" or .050" as the barrel wore, never adjusted the load. They shot well enough for competition for me throughout.

Can't say I recommend that plan however!

I only have 255 rounds so the jump is still the same. I would think some were around 40 off the accuracy will star to suffer.

My proved G7 was .330 and I started at .020" off and my barrel gave up when they were jumping at .065" with no decrease in performance.

Aside from TMKs everything sierra has shot excellent at .020" off lands.

Several shooters here in NZ have found a sweet spot with 0.100 jump a lot I know but what works works. 6mm Creed. Local Hardy Rifle carbon wraped barrels in 1:7
