so i have sig 226, threaded 13.5x1 LH.

i have a YHM cobra with the proper adapter for the sig barrel.

so since the sig barrel is LH threads, when i tighten the can to the barrel, the adapter comes loose. when i tighten the adapter to the can, it comes off the barrel. will the loctite hold up under the heat from shooting?

very frustrating.

my question is, aside from keeping an open end wrench with me, can i use blue loctite on the threads for the booster and the adapter to keep it tight?

i have the 1/2x28 adapter for my other threaded barrels, so i will still need to change the adapter every once in awhile.

Re: sig 226 13.5 LH thread and a YHM cobra can dilemma

Ive heard of people using loctite. But only on perm. Qd applications. I have a mosquito simular adapter to suppressor set up. I use wrenches, minimal lube and a whole lot of timing checks during fire sessions.
If I get some other suggestions from my local guys ill let you know.

i know this is as simple as just doing it, but with as much of a PITA as it is to get one, and the way the market is right now, i want to eliminate every possibility of F-ing up the can or warranty.

thanks for the reply.
