I just got really lucky and acquired a Rare (NIB) Sig Sauer 716 Precision Marksman Rifle. This is the Real Deal and not the 18" barrel model Sig 716 DMR or 3-Gun-Heavy versions. This is the Sig 716 Precision Marksman Rifle that came straight from the Sig Pro Shop when a hand full of them were released last year. This Sig 716 PMR looks like the 3-Gun-Heavy but has some differences. It has a different style Firing Pin, it has a Bayonet Lug, it has a longer Piston assembly and it has a different type of barrel. The Barrel has flats on it towards the bottom and it has a different barrel twist rate. This has a Heavy Match Barrel with a 1x11 Twist instead of the 1x10 Twist Rate that the DMR and 3-Gun-Heavy have. The factory box is marked R716-H20B-PRM 7.62 NATO, PRM, SEMI, 20 IN

I was told that only 20 of these were released before Sig decided to go with the 18" barrel DMR version.

Anyone else have one of these?

Pics Added.... Notice the Bayonet Lug under the gas block. The 3 Gun Heavy and the DMR do not have this.

I owned the 716 Patrol, and then I bought the 716 3-Gun-Heavy, and then I went with the Sig 716 DMR and I really wasn't happy as I wanted the 20" Precision Marksman Rifle. I found one and I am now GTG.

I will post Pics soon. It came with a UBR stock but I am going to install the MagPul PRS tomorrow so it will be the Ultimate PMR.

I called Sig and spoke with one of their Customer Service experts and had them do some research for me on it based on the Serial Number. He told me that there were 20 or maybe 25 of these released before they decided to go with the 18" barrel DMR version. With the Serial number the Sig guy was able to find out that this Precision Marksman Rifle has a Match 1x11" Twist CHF barrel.

Once I get my PRS stock items and Scope Mount for it I will post new Pics and also accuracy results.
