Anybody running them? What are your impressions? Any Tricks or operation tips

I just picked up the kit that includes the Kilo BDX Range finder 1800.
So far the Glass is super Clear
Blutooth setup easily between the scope, range finder and my Iphone

The Range Finder is awesome, easy to use, clear and well built. Scope is heavy but clean and solid

I think Sig is pushing to get these on the Market so I picked up the kit up for $899. This will be replacing a Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24x50 and will be mounted on my Seekins SP10 in 308 with High Seekins rings
Any comments about it are welcome

forgot to mention if you haven’t listen to it already @Lowlight has a good segment on the bdx system on his everyday sniper podcast. What I gathered is that it’s a good system for hunting and will work for other shooting disciplines, although the reticle may be a little to thick for longer precision shooting for some.

I would agree with it being a little to thick, but I believe training can over come that issue. Since this is new Tech, I would assume that Sig will continue to develop and improve the platform. When I first connected the range finder, it downloaded 2 firmware updates immediately

Update: The scope wouldn't pair with the Range finder consistently.. Fail!! took it back to cabelas..
Also found out the scope is only good for up to 800 yards. if you want the range finder to adjust past 800 yards, A kestrel is required to exceed the 800 mark.
Im sure I just got a defective scope/range finder.. Not sure if its worth getting another one

Sorry to hear..I don’t have one but I feel they are an interesting concept. I think sig will continue to make it better as time goes on. Kind of like buying the first year of a new style or model of a car...takes them a year or two to work out the kinks but I think if you get in on it now it’s cheaper...if they do well I would expect the pricing to go up.

Spoke to Sig this morning. Great Conversation! They felt that the range finder may have been bad and It was the Bluetooth that kept failing to connect

I got Clarification of the 800 yard limit. The range finders are not capable of figuring out the coriolis effect , temp and barometric pressure to calculate what happens when the projectile drops to subsonic past 800 yards. It will however calculate it when the range finder is connected to a Kestrel. Here the catch. The 1800 range finder and below are not capable of connecting to the the Kestrel. The only model that will is the 2400. The 2400 has the weather sensors built into it and also comes in at $500 more for the kit. $1400!

Still debating on getting another one (4.5-14x44 with the 1800 range finder) . I plan on putting this on a Seekins SP10 308 so the 800 yard limit is not a big deal. But if I want to run my Tikka 308 to a 1k i am stuck with crazy holdovers.

Maybe I should just get a NightForce for $1100! lol Hell even Gen 2 PST's are 900 right now

If you're going to hunt with it check the states hunting laws as in some states the electronics of the scope make it unlawful, not sure what the cost of that would be but I'd watch out for penalty of the use the scope to harvest an animal. My.02
