single point sling reccomendation

Re: single point sling reccomendation

Agreed, single points have too many disadvantages, however for breaching they're just fine. You'll just want to find one with a bit of stretchiness to more easily facilitate stowing and deploying.

Re: single point sling reccomendation

As much as I am loathe to admit it, I have been using the Condor single bungee 1 point sling for the last 6 years. The same sling has been used to carry my rifle and shotgun both here and abroad. The sling is dirty as hell but the bungee is still springy and still takes up some of the weight and the latch hasn't failed yet. The rubber on the latch rubbed off years ago but that doesn't bother me.

Re: single point sling reccomendation

I don't use a sling on my shotgun for work but I've been using the Magpul sling on my M4. It quickly converts from 1 point to 2 point. Transitions from strong side/support side are very fast, and transitioning to a secondary weapon is easy with it. This is what I'd use.

+1 for Magpul, I love mine and it can go from 1 to 2 point very quickly. Bad thing is they are in short supply until the next model comes out.
