I need a skid plate but don't really like the lace up look and I don't want to stick velcro onto my stock.
What I would like is one like the S.O.Tech but with velcro straps to fold over top of the barrel. The way that stock packs are held on.
Does anyone understand 2hat I mean and know who makes it?

An archery wrist guard has the right setup, I might even try 1 of those.

buy one, have it modified. its function over form, but I understand caring about how things look. still you have two options for attachment and want a third that's not available commercially. try contacting SOTech if nothing else

Since this is my brainchild I will attemp to answer your request.
If you have a boltgun, you would want to use the velcro option. It will NOT harm your paint, finish, or anything else. The reason for this is you don't want to have anything contacting you exposed barrel. Any direct contact will affect your barrel harmonics. If you were using a quad rail or the barrel was covered by rail, then it would be fine to use a nylon strap to velcro in place.
If your set on securing it an other way, then try it and see how it works for you. If you would like to discuss your options further, feel free to call me direct and we can work out something that meets your needs.
I am no longer with SOTECH, and they are not currently dealing with any Skidplate related projects.
Again, I would be more than happy to work out an option that you are happy with.
