Slam Fire issue with AR-10's?

Need information regarding a slam fire issue I'm having with my AR-10. This rifle has shot flawless untile just recently.
Just started double firing out of the blue.
If you have any information regarding this, or know how I can cure this problem let me know

What type of trigger is in the gun, has anyone messed with the trigger, check the trigger pins and make sure they are not walking out on you.

Trigger is stock. It's the factory 2 stage trigger. Couldn't tell you if the trigger has been messed with. As far as I can tell it all is factory. Pins look to be in place.

Thanks for the advise. I'll take the gun apart and give the trigger a real good inspection.

if the pins are still in place and you take it apart, check your angles on the disconnect and see if you notice anything out of the norm.

Mine has always shot great until last week. It went full auto and dumped the remaining 7 rounds in a flash. New disconnect solved the problem, however my barrel nut came loose and it shot like crap until I figured out it needed to be tightened. Look at the disconnect.

Also make sure you aren't unintentionally bumpfiring it.

Gun is coming apart tonight. I'll take a look at all the stuff mentioned and try to post my findings soon. I hope it's as simple as the disconnnect.

Took the gun apart and didn't find any obvious problems, other than being dirty. I took the tigger apart cleaned everything checked the disconnect and angles on the hammer. Put the gun back together and it seems to shoot just fine. I don't know if this a fluk or if it was just really dirty. I'm calling Armalite on Monday. I'll post what they have to say on the issue. I'm not completly convinced that the gun is fixed. Any other comments or suggestions on the this issue are still welcomed.

If you are using Fed GMM Primers it MAY slam fire. THe primers are very soft. Just another thing to look at.

Rifle is back together and is shooting fine. Removed the trigger and cleaned all internal componets in the lower receiver. All Armalte had to say was "make sure the firing pin spring is installed" Oh, they are going to send me a free one just for safe measure. Not all bad. Free parts are always good. I never found anything obviously wrong. I guess I was bumping the trigger by mistake. For now issue has been resolved.

some times.....a protruding firing pin due to brass slivers and dirt and blow-back and generally dirty housekeeping will make you perk up a bit
