Rifle Scopes Slight gripe about the IOR

Bought a used IOR ffp 3-18x42 the elevation turret tick marks don't line up. It was the exact same on my XOTIC and drove me nuts. Is this common on IOR scopes?

Can't you just loosen up the screws in the turret and line the marks up and then tighten them up again?

Yeah that worked, tried that on my XOTIC and it didnt work. Guess i should of tried before I posted this..Thanks
