I got this sling the other day & toyed around w. it a bit today & I must say it sure is gonna he'p steady my aim in prone & sitting--nice. Only thing is, does anyone have any ideas where I could get a set of sling keepers? I know Turner Saddlery sells leather ones, but I'm wondering if they might be a bit loose for this cotton sling? Anyway, it sure would be nice to tie that bottom half of the sling in w. somethin' fancier than a paper clip. Thanx.

Thanx jhTexas & wirehand. I've been told in another forum that there really is no use for sling keepers on an M1 sling & that they aren't even allowed in at least some shooting matches. But I want one anyway if nothing more than to keep that bottom 19" of sling tied up a bit when not in use. As it is I bought a piece of 1 1/4" cotton material at a fabric store (nylon may have been a better choice) & am having a seamstress sew it together in a loop to fit around the two thicknesses of sling. I've only got $.75 in the material & I doubt this girl is gonna charge me much to stitch it together. Havn't even shot w. the thing yet but I think it oughta work. Anyway, I'm really lookin' frwd to shootin' w. a sling to he'p steady my aim. I've only shot offhand in my whole life, so I'm movin' up!
