Slob Hunters Bagged in AK, But Good

Bought a book off a Sioux while at Crazy Horse monument. This Sioux was also a USMC fighter pilot over Vietnam.

Interesting concept in his book and history I wasnt aware of is that the Sioux were originally coastal Carolina Indians.

They moved their way west as the English settled in the east.

He considered it a clash of cultures.

The stronger culture displaced the weaker.

The Sioux didnt consider themselves weaker they just felt "lets get away from these smelly English fucks with their disease" and moved west.

The cultures they displaced they did consider the Darwinism of the stronger displacing the weaker and they fought and honed their fighting skills doing it.

By the time the Sioux were backed up against a mountain range in the west they were the baddest ass motherfuckers on the back of a horse that would yield a trade rifle and a bow.

But still the writer acknowledged it was a clash of cultures and the stronger in the end won.

The writer catches shit in his community I believe for this as well as some other stuff I think he had been outspoken about....Ed Mcgaa. He is proud of the fact sure the stronger culture got territory but they were never defeated as evidenced by their strong presence today. Pocumtucs cant say same.

Damn just looked him up looks like he died last year - Semper Fi.

Yep... sure you can have your reservations... so you can live miserable lives drinking and fighting each other... but don't worry you can tell stories from the past about how it's all the white man's fault that you beat your kids and rape your daughters today while trying to drink yourself to death.

Kind of sounds similar to another group that gets used by the Communists to be a voting block when needed doesn't it?

.....and their real enemies are amongst the "so called leaders" of these ghettos.

see Al Sharpton and the guy that was leading the gas pipe line protest.

Keep the peeps down while gaining from kick backs to make a scene.

If the conditions ever improved these charlatans would be out of a lucrative career.

Got to keep the money flowing, dont kill the job.

They found out the hard way a continuing saga of how relatively weak and fragile humans wound up being the dominant life form on this planet.
Using your mind to create better ways of making better tools & using them in a cooperative manner.
You don't see any Neanderthals around these days... they had a more powerful physique than humans for a lot of stuff... but now all that is left of them is DNA that most people carry around.

While they were getting the best they could be at riding horses & using the bow (and some guns that they got from the whites), the European types were sailing big ships & starting to muck around with this steam thing towards the end and actually making firearms from scratch and upgrading them from single shot loose powder to rapid fire cartridge weapons along with faster communication systems, while also working somewhat together (when not killing each other), to increase the population.

I think there is a concentration of that DNA in the Bear Pit actually.

Regards your second point I dont know if it makes or breaks your case but a common argument about the battle at Little Bighorn is the Indians had the advantage because they actually had the better technology. Lots of repeater cartridges were collected at the battlefield and they have been able to trace them to individual weapons sometimes to individual people. The Army had single shots and Colt revolvers. Maybe the Sioux had the technology/fire power advantage. Mr. Mcgaa credited it so.

and there is always a role for stupid to play.

While that is a vaild point for a single battle or several of them, it didn't help them much because they were simply using what they had bought/found/stole/traded and could not actually make anything in firearms themselves from scratch or significantly upgrade them in functionality themselves.

Much like Arab princes in Saudi Arabia driving fancy sports cars.... when the oil runs out and nobody is selling them anything, can they make new cars themselves in their own country by their own people without somebody else at the controls?

William Gilbert said let the punishment fit the crime. 30 days in jail does not fit with Speeding nor does 4 years in jail bfit with shooting an animal you don’t have a tag for. That has got to be the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard of. And that is what I’m telling you.
William Gilbert evidently isn't from Alaska.

You can talk all the shit you want but I bet you will never go to Alaska and fuck with the Alaska State Troopers over their game laws

All fucking hat and no cattle at all.

You are so right you have no idea. I will never pay 15 grand to shoot a critter on public land. You can blow it out ur ass if u want to but surely even you aren’t dull enough to think a 4 year jail sentence is an appropriate punishment for shooting a critter without a valid license. Might as well shoot the dude like they do in Africa when it comes to the black rhino.

Ill agree 4 years is harsh especially in the day and age of sanctuary cities.

The offender should just plead the mercy of the court that he be treated like an illegal and walk free.

Still killing a fine animal to chop the top of its skull off than leave the rest to rot is wanton destruction of life.

That is the crime here.

Still its not a person.

That fucker would be shoveling shit in the states pig sty for at least a month.

He can even go home at the end of the day its just that no one will be able to stand the smell of him.

The crime was killing an animal and leaving almost all of it to go to waste. It offends the morality of decent men, and the punishment is light in my opinion.

I think they are going easy on him. I'd lock his fucking ass up for a decade, since evidently four years isn't enough deterrent for people like you.

I spent some time with the Sioux tribe in Pine Ridge, I am part of the Hoka Hey group of riders founded and run by Sioux Tribe of Pine Ridge, met the last two Chiefs and shared meals with them and rode with one of them. Poverty and drugs is a huge issue there now sad as hell but still good people in my book. lots of vets there on that res. Its a complicated subject and situation. Everyone you see talk about it on TV is bullshitting and has their hand out, you can only grasp the beginnings of the issue by spending time there with the people, the poor to the better off.

Tell you what though....social media spreads this about and those two happen to have businesses or reputations in Massachusetts it will be like sitting in the gallery at Kavanaughs hearing for them.

I dont agree with that but can you say "Cecil the Lion"

If only the moose had a name........

Sounds like liberal bullshit to me. Let’s put him in jail for four years for shooting that poor animal. And while we are at it let’s fine him and take his money because we know how to spend his money better than he knows how to spend his money. I agree he should be punished but up to four years in jail is just bullshit and you know it

Yea, my views are my own, but a moose is a big animal requiring a lot of range, and it is a question of management so we can all harvest one. Way I see it these fucks are stealing an animal and a hunt from someone else. Wild America is a nice thought, but it’s bullshit. It’s a garden, and it has to be managed like a garden. I give a fuck not because they killed an animal, but because they’re stealing, and if the punishment wasn’t severe and conspicuous lots of people would do it till there was no moose left to hunt. It’s common sense as far as I’m concerned.

Soon we will be able to when the court rules they have to allow conceal carry like they had to recognize gay marriage from other states. Or we will be doing a mission from god to liberate the northern cities and impose freedom on the slaves up there.

I bet y'all won't go to NYC with an evil salt rifle cause the penelties are so harsh. Law is the law...

Is there a squirrel lying dead somewhere also, perhaps with flying helmet?

Speaking of squirrels......anyone notice those little fucks are everywhere these days.

I happen to hang by a highway and its constant frogger.

The cars seem to be doing their best to control the population judging by the number of red and gray patches of fur in the road.

Gonna take awhile for them to overcome their evolution coding and realize cars dont juke, if you are going to run for it squirrel just run for it. Cutting back and than reversing course again only results in tire tracks on your back.

When most of the people you meet, encounter, and observe are shit bags that will lie, steal and cheat, and animals dont, you may see a difference. I guess I'm in the value most animal life ,over most human life category. Whale>Junkie... Bear>child molester... Moose> thieves.

I don’t know where you live but I live in Kansas, a nice red state. The vast majority of people I know are good honest folks. We would be glad to have another shooter in Kansas if your looking to move.

Moose tastes great! Anybody who walks away from a fresh moose kill is a fuckin idiot!

For some clarification, the various governments are not charging tens of thousands for hunting moose on public lands. An Alaskan moose tag for a non-resident is $400. Canadian moose across the provinces are about the same. It’s limited tag numbers combined with outfitting fees that jack the cost up. Simple supply and demand.

Yep you are right about them charging 400 bucks for the non resident moose tag but u need to read Alaska statute 16.05.408 You can find it under Alaska fish and guide requirements on the state website. If you want clarification you need to read the statute and then tell me it’s not
Going to cost you thousands of dollars to hunt a moose in Alaska.

JFC! Listen cupcake! There penalties for committing game violations are available to anyone who wants to read them. These asshats came up here abused the resource and got busted for it. Personally, folks like myself that live very remotely rely heavily on moose and other game animals for food year after year and take considerable offense to anyone (local or NR) that chooses to waste that resource. The fact you seem to be struggling with with is that they chose to potentially throw away four years of their life and a pile of money for a set of horns. That was their call and if they’d cared to check beforehand they would have known the stakes they were playing for. Whether they did or not.... not my problem. Throw the book at them!

What do you think about places where deer/geese/etc are over populated.

Is it a wanton waste when over populated game animals eat hundreds of acres of farm fields to the ground?

A few long legged rats left to rot would be less of a waste than 100s of thousands of bushels of grain eaten to the ground.

That would go directly to my point...management. The restrictions and penalties are directly related to the status of the game in question. Killing Snow Geese out of season should be a slap on the wrist. Poaching California Condors should have a stiff penalty.

The law is the law. Who the fuck do you think you are to think that you can choose which ones to follow based on what others get away with?

I don't give a fuck what a moose hunt costs. That bitch can enjoy his loss of 2nd Amendment rights.

One of the federal disqualifiers:
Have a felony conviction in any state, or on federal charges, or convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year in prison 18 USC 44 922 (g)(1)

Prohibiting offenses are bull shit and unconstitutional.

Anyone who supports taking away a free mans constitutional rights can FOAD

That’s not a dollar amount, it’s a legal section in the game code requiring a guide for those animal types. Look at it again

I’m familiar with it. What I’m getting at is a guide will cost crap tons of money. So that makes moose hunts cost thousands of dollars. Guides don’t work for free.
