240 Weatherby maybe....for a factory rifle.
But you could chamber a long action in 22-250 or 243 if you really wanted to.

i saw a 222 remington built on aa Mauser 98 once , they had to make a new extractor though.

I actually have a Savage 110 Varmint in 223. It belonged to my FIL and he wanted something I had, its a single shot action and has a mile of bolt pull to open her up. Unsure of age on this rifle he said he purchased it new and had the box, I could give more info if I was home, but all I see around here is a bunch of sand and a hot ass sun

Ive got a 6mmbr barrel for my M70 long action. Shoots just fine.. you do have to single load it though..

Yes feeding is gonna be a problem depending on which bottom metal type and mags your using. Really you could do any caliber in a long action as long as the bolt face is close enough.

I had a long action Winchester that was factory chambered in 22-250. The mag box was blocked fore and aft.

Pre-64 Model 70 Winchesters were made in .22 Hornet, which was the same action as the .300 H&H and .375 H&H.

Caliber does not matter, but for a long action you need a cartridge that is at least 3" loaded to make it worth while. So that means any case that is at least as long as a long throated 257 Roberts.

I once had a 7.62x39 in a Mauser 98 sporter. Barrel sucked but the action worked OK.

Funny, my dad built one of those out of a turk as a joke. I was amazed at how many guys have offered him money for it...
