...Seems like Charles Landeros was lookin' for some shit...And he found the shit he was lookin' for...
Very similar to the story of Tom Lumpkins, a buffalo hunter in Rath City, Texas, who after several hours of binge drinking on the afternoon of April 27, 1877, declared that he was going to kill somebody so the town can start a proper graveyard. He walked into the saloon and emptied his revolver at the barman, missing wildly. As Lumpkins tried to reload his pistol, the barman, Jim Smith, produced a 12-gauge shotgun and blasted Lumpkins in the stomach. Lumpkins was killed instantly.
The body of Tom Lumpkins was buried on a sand hill outside the town, and some of the local boys placed a buffalo skull atop the grave as a makeshift marker. Upon the skull was inscribed the words: "Here lies Tom Lumpkins...In a graveyard started at his own suggestion".
