I started a new SH 100yd challenge thread HERE and was asked about a 50yd rimfire version. Idk what I'm doing but here is the target I was able to make. If you print at 100% scale the final row should print 1" diameter circles and make it a little easier to score.

Rules:

1. All Targets will be shot from a Bipod & Rear Bag

2. Enter as many times as you like

3. Post your target, scored version please.

4. ColdBore means - Your first shot of the day, no exceptions.

5. Target will be shot at 50 yards or 50 meters depending on your range.

6. Lowest score wins

7. Include a Quarter with the image of you absolutely can’t score your own target and someone will likely help you.

8. Bullet just has to break the line to be counted as in the circle

Order of Shots

1. Cold Bore Shot; +1 on first target
•2 Shots touching center dot, 0 points,
•2 shots on target 1 point
•1 shot on target 2 point
•miss the circle with both shots 3 points

2. Zero Target to fine tune your group.
•5 shots at this target IF you need it. NOT PART OF THE FINAL SCORE.

3. 1st Dot Target - Single Shot
•Eliminate white dot 0 points
•Touching Black +1 point
•Miss Black +2 points

4. 2nd Dot Target - Single Shot
•Eliminate white dot 0 points
•Touching Black +1 point
•Miss Black +2 point

5. 3rd Dot Target - Single Shot
•Eliminate white dot 0 points
•Touching Black +1 point
•Miss Black +2 point

6. Three Remaining Targets - 5 Shots EA
•Measure group size, add to score
•Groups outside the circle add 1 point to group average (example, .5MOA group outside the circle = 1.5)
•All bullets just have to break the line to be considered "In"

Well I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. The second row is a real difficult series. If I can get hits on those everything should get better.

Some perspective on target sizes, ARA Factory Class 100 ring OD is .875", the Unlimited 100 ring is .500". For an "X" the center dot has to be completely removed, the dot is larger on the Factory target so an X is actually more difficult.

For a non-benchrest rifle and "old" ammo these results are beyond decent.

Thanks for the feedback, I don’t really know what I’m doing as far as designing targets.

That second row really had me guessing but as you stated, a larger center dot would be even more difficult to eliminate completely.

After scoring the target I looked at other postings here and realized I scored it incorrectly. The correct score is listed in the text, not on the target. Also my printer didn't scale this correct, the bottom row of targets measure at 0.878" vs 1". But I wanted to submit anyway. I'll try and print some at work next week and see if they are sized correctly.

I shot this with a clean barrel (no fouling shots fired) and noted the clean cold bore for reference. I adjusted 0.1 mil left after the first 3 rounds of the zero group. This barrel has always been very consistent and extremely accurate.

I need to work on my new firing position for the next attempt. I'm shooting off of my porch which is Trex. Normally I have a shooting mat down but I didn't last night when I shot this. I was chasing my rifle because the bipod feet were sliding forward. You can clearly see the effect in the bottom 3 targets. There is definitely a lot left on the table for me. Fun course of fire!

Good on ya! You are on the leaderboard.

For printing I have to use the computer and set it to print at 100%

That second row is going to be difficult to clean, but that’s a big part of what I like about it. Thanks for the submission!
