It hasn't gotten violent yet, from the stream I'm watching, but it's Chicago, so violence is a foregone conclusion.

Unfortunately, most of the rest of the state is normal but you have so many in Chicago and surrounding area with stockholm syndrome its hard to get the idiots out of office. Doesn't help the republican politicians here are rhinos and don't mind being dickless.
One thing to keep in mind is that California is what the Democratic party has been trying to do to the rest of America. Our population is 25% foreign born and we have about 4-5% illegals. We also are now a minority white state as far as population. The rioters downtown are acting up because they think it's their state now and the Democrats are doing everything they can to make that true.
I understand rioting in L.A. NYC and Chicago. California, New York and Illinois have disarmed the citizenry. The thugs can intimidate and destroy with little worry of repercussions. However, people are saying St Louis is next. Unless they are planning to riot in the empty fields that are East St Louis, it may not turn out the same way.

While I believe these events are: astro turfed with Tax money via the NGO & NPE web / dominated by foreign or anti American interests / are sanctioned and abetted by rogue elements in Gov / are coordinated / are designed to bring about the fall of the Republic - these individual riots are not a threat to America as long as they are seen as isolated events. Not enough of America understands the connections yet.
