I was recently given a Savage model 11 in 223 Remington. This will be used as a trainer and for my son to shoot. What does the hide recommend. I like chassis systems, but also like the look of a regular stock.

    Thanks in advance.

Hard to beat an MPA if your son wants to eventually dip his toes in competition. And depending on his age, they do make a Youth model for the Savage.

The KRG scratched my itch for a traditional stock feel with all the modularity, adjustability and features of a chassis. I loaded mine with all the accessories and I am really enjoying it.

I've been trying to decide this as well. I have an MDT ESS chassis as well as a KRG Bravo, but only one barreled action. I've been going back and forth between the two trying to decide which to keep. I love the balance and feel of the Bravo, but I love the modularity and weight of the MDT.

I'd use one that I could adjust the length of pull.

APO style or a stock like the Manners Compact Stock (MCS).

A GRS Berserk would be my first choice as it will only be about $550 through Euro Optic.
