Meanwhile telling us that even with control of congress and the senate and the presidency, they just can’t do anything about the NFA ( please don’t try to explain the Byrd rule or parliamentarian to me.) Our elected representatives will always have an excuse for why the only groups they fight for are lobbies with $$$$$$ behind them. Oh and we are going to create another giant, ridiculous loophole in the tax code for no tax on tips (for those of you out of touch with reality, the girl at Denny’s was not paying taxes on all her tips anyway.) Now can I pay my plumber $50 with a $400 tip? And then we have the SALT subsidies, so states can continue to tax people like their own personal ATMs and others will make up the shortfalls. We vote for them and they hook us up every time.

And the thing I think most people are confusing.... It may be "no tax on Social Security Benefits," but I think you still have to pay FICA taxes on other forms of income. Did they get rid of that? I don't think so.
