I am a big fan of the M1A SOCOM 16 because of its handiness. I have mainly shot DAG Nobel 147 nato ball out it to work on battle drills, but I have a scope for it as well and do some 168 Gr reloads for it as well. I have heard that shooting lightweight 110gr bullets are great out of this gun. But I wanted to try and find some data before I reload those light bullets. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thx

Re: SOCOM 16 reloads

The Sierra 110's are fun to shoot they will impact several inches lower on your target then the heavier loads.

Here are 2 loads that I use in my Socom:
(check your manual for starting loads)!

1. H4198 40gr w/ Sierra 110hp seated @ 2.644
2. H4895 42gr w/ Hornady 130sp seated @ 2.717
