I got this off of a friend many years back and I haven't done anything with it. Specs are listed below:
Krieger Heavy Barrel (similar to VARMATCH on their website, this barrel is several years old) Single Point Cut Rifling as all Krieger's are
Twist: 1:7.7
Caliber: .224
OAL: 27"
Breech Diameter .975
Muzzle Diameter .910
Gas Block Journal .930
Rifle Length Gas
UNCHAMBERED (ready to be chambered by a gunsmith.
Extension is included and looks to be timed to the barrel, but no idea if it is original to the barrel or not. Krieger usually sends one with the barrel.
Some cosmetic scratches but the muzzle threads and the crown are perfect. Again, its new and unfired as it is unchambered.
This barrel would be an absolute tack driver on a heavy, long range build. Not sure on weight, but it is heavy.
Price: $260 OBO plus actual shipping. (I will pad and package the crap out of this thing so it gets to you in one piece)
(Similar barrels on Krieger's website are $400 plus at least a 3 month wait time.)
Might trade for TriggerTech Special flat triggers for 700 or AR-15, Bartlein, Krieger or similar barrels in .30 or 6.5, 6.5 CM factory match ammo, .308 match ammo, or something else. Just make an offer!
EDIT: I spoke with Krieger and gave them the serial number on the barrel. They confirmed it was their barrel. It was made for Frank White at Compass Lake Engineering in 2001. The gas block size is antiquated and the barrel would benefit if the gas block would be turned to .875 by a professional. There is no gas hole port so it shouldn't be hard to do if done by a qualified professional. Given the age of the barrel as well as the information I was given, I have adjusted the price to something more reasonable.
