Wondering if this would be compatible with a standard Tikka T3 Short action if I used a CDI bottom metal.

I'm not familiar with the CDI bottom metal but the factory bottom metal for a standard T3 isn't as wide as the bottom metal for a T3 CTR. Borrowed this from the T3 thread but it shows what a T3 bottom metal looks like attached to a CTR stock.

1: all t3 actions are the same as far as short/long.

2: this has a bottom metal inlet for...? Factory tikka CTR bottom metal?

3: can we get a pic of the barrel channel with the barrel in it. I'm assuming you had a factory ctr in it?

Yes it is inlet for a factory CTR bottom metal and sure thing I'll get a picture up of the barrel channel shortly. I currently have a factory CTR barrel in it.

And here's a pic of the inlet for the bottom metal just to clarify. You can't see it in the picture but I do have a couple of small washers under the bottom metal to shim it just a hair. Had to do this for the magazine to seat, after posting about it in the T3 thread it seems to be a pretty common thing.
