Something wrong with those 185 juggernauts

Is there anyone here who's had particular problems getting good results reloading Berger's 185 grains juggernaut Hybrid Target bullets? Just to clear the subject, I've been reloading for many years SMK and Hornady bullets with good results, but now I'm at a complete lost with these bullets. Just to give you an example, see both attached pictures. Both are 5 shots groups at a 100M, the first one is typical of what I get from the Bergers, and the other from the Sierra.

i just do not understand and I've tried several loads and OAL. I've bien trying Varget and H4895, whatever I do, results remain unacceptable. I understand there are so many variables at play we could spend weeks discussing them, this is not what I'm looking for. My question is: is this a common problem met by people who have been reloading those bullets, some particular area I should be paying attention or it's just me?

thanks!

I've been shooting 185 juggernauts exclusively for about 2 years now and have had great results with both powders mentioned. 43.5 varget and 43.2 H4895. Both seated at 2.870" (or just 10/1000"'s shy of AI mag oal max) its 2.215" to ogive. Lapua brass and fgm210m primers.
I'm shooting a custom built .308 with a 28" HV Bartlein
1:11.25 twist.
One thing I noticed in my particular rifle is that this bullet was very jump tolerant. Also that the bearing surface is MUCH FURTHER BACK than the 175 smk.
So say a 175 smk is 2.230" at the ogive at 2.825" coal , a juggernaut is going to have to be about 2.895" coal to be positioned exactly in the same place near the lands.
Glt to ask. What is your set up on your rifle ?

Whats your load with the juggernauts? They will have a node around 2650 and 2710-2720 in most barrels. That usually comes out to 42.5-42.8ish and 44.1-44.4ish of Varget. Those numbers are in Lapua brass.

Not sure on the meaning of your question (pardon me, English is a second language for me). Are you asking me what my rifle is? If so, the shots on this pictures were made with an FNH SPR XP A5M. It has a 24 inch barrel.

I've tried the bullets at four different lengths (OAL) : SAAMI, 30 thousandth off the lands, 10 thousandth off the lands and 10 thousandth jam. To no avail.

i wasn't able to chrono them, I own a Chrony Beta and I realized recently that the thing is constantly 100-200 fps slower than reality, and is unable to meter anything approaching or above 2500fps. I need to send it in for a check but did not have time.

Tried loads run from 41 to 44 grans of Varget, slightly less with the H. It just doesn't make sense. I use Lapua brass also.

I got to say I agree with spife7980. If you can’t get it to shoot why waste your time , $, and powder trying to make it shoot when you’ve got a perfectly good load with the Hornady and SMK’s!
All be it I love me some Berger.,, I’ve got plenty of rifles that send Hornadys down range because that’s what that rifle likes !
