Would like a 1x8 twist to put on the R-25. The one I have is 1x10 and its BAD with 95gr SMK Loads. I think I could do pretty good with a 1x8 twist barrel for this but looks like thats going to be a custom order. Can someone point me that direction? Seems the Smith's I use dont mess with gassers and GA has a helluva wait time right now I think. Would like to jump it up to the 105-115 class of bullet and take it the distance.

I've contacted a few companies looking to see who would do a whatever barrel for Armalite. Since you're only talking them using a different barrel extension I'm sure the same people would do a barrel for dpms gladly. Those companies are Brux, Rock Creek, and Lothar Walther. I couldn't tell you what their time to make it would be, I'm not affiliated with any of them, and they usually aren't listed on the websites. Hope this helps somewhat.

Poke, I sent a PM asking some questions. I might be able to help you out to get the work done quicker. A 10tw 243 seems like a waste of a good chunk of barrel steel IMO.
