I have an old 40X that wore a raggedy black and white skip line pad. I think it finally disintegrated or ran off, but here's the kicker. The stock is for the heavy barrel model, the thinner tubed stock has smaller dimensions at the butt so that pad won't work.

Anybody know where to get a similar one with the same thickness as factory? Even if it has to be ground. I've looked at Brownells and Midway before but really didn't see anything in the same thickness, but could be wrong again, lol.

Pachmayr doesn't make a pad like the one originally used on the rimfire 40-X/XB's any longer. Well they do but not with the whiteline spacer. Pachmayr #250 in a large will work. It is black and same type of surface as original just without the whiteline spacer. Brownell's or Midway both should have them. Make sure you get a large. It is barely big enough, a medium won't even be close.

If you want an original "Whiteline" then as others mentioned you will have to find New Old Stock on perhaps ebay or a used one as mentioned from Numurich.

HTH and DFOOSKING I hope your AO is having better shooting weather than the opposite corner of SD? Been trying to get enough ambition and get a descent day to see if I can find any p dogs but it ain't happenin! Yesterday was 90+, 70 some % humidity and windy. Couldn't find energy nor desire to drag my welfare ass out of the house!
