I know Remington and H&S make them, any other suggestions? I'd like to start a bolt rifle, shooting lefty has kept me in Semi-Auto's. I'm only going to buy/assem. one, so any preferences? It will be .308, USO 3.7-17X or 5-25X, USO or Seekins rings. No can, Atlas bipod. 20-24".

Shooting lefty is a curse.

Big thanks.

Re: South Paw Bolt Action Manufacturers

IMO Savage is a pretty big left handed company. They have tons of different models and calibers available left handed. And I hear they are pretty darned accurate too. I have a savage 12 in .223 and love it.

Also, i believe a few major custom action makers have them.

Tikka makes great lefty guns. I know they get no love here, but my Tikkas have been very accurate out of the box.

Stiller makes a lefty action.

As an ambi rifle shooter, I much prefer righty actions shot lefty - never have to lose trigger or cheek weld to cycle the action - than I do lefty actions shooting lefty.

Maybe it's just me.

Remington, Savage, Defiance, Stiller, all make LH actions Long and short, unsure if the Gap Templar is available LH. Accuracy International makes a LH AICS and AIAW.

I forgot about Tikkas. My buddy has one and it is very nice.

Guys thanks, spoke to Europtics about Tikkas, didn't know AI had one, that is very
good news. I will check Stiller and SAC. It's not going to be a crazy bench rifle, AI or the Tikka would be nice, no work. Just want to go to the range with 40 rounds. Try that with a JP burning a hole in your ammo pocket. 40 rounds slow at 200, then 140 in the action area.
If I put it together, Rem. or Savage. There are a couple of very good shops here, would be easy to do.
Again, thanks. I'll get started.

Mine "main" rifle is a 308 Savage. Made hits to 1,000 meters at Thunder Ranch (Oregon) in May of this year.

I have one from Ruger (375) and Tikka (223), also. Tikkas are spooky accurate.
